Wonderful gallery filled with handcrafted art by local artists
Great gallery with rotating art work that's decently priced. I was pleasantly surprised to see the prices as well as learn that it's operated by local artists.
GC is a non-profit, collective coop of approximately 20 talented artists who work in 2-D (oil, water colors, cut paper, vinyl, photography, etc.) and 3-D (jewelry, glass, fiber, wood) formats. The setting is in an historic building in downtown Albany, with brick walls and high ceilings, providing a beautiful backdrop for the art. The first Friday of each month the gallery hosts a reception from 6-8 PM, featuring 2 artists from the coop, or occasionally guest artists from the area, giving art enthusiasts of all ages a chance to not only view the art, but also to meet the artists behind the work.
