Nostalgic and heartwarming. The artistry in the handcarved whimsical animals is superb. This carousel is housed in a beautiful building complete with a snack bar, gift shop and workshop displaying work in progress. Every detail is wonderful starting with the handles on the front door. This is a wonderful place for people 1 through 100 years old. Seeing the reminiscent smiles on some elderly people's faces brought tears to my eyes. This labor of love is truly a magical place.
Beautiful Carousel and friendly staff. We enjoyed the wonderful animal carvings and the carousel itself. They had several unique pieces, some in the process of being made. The gift shop was cute and had some fun items like mini wind up carousel.
Friendly volunteers, we even got a free ride because they didn't turn on music our first go around. A fun activity for a rainy day.
What a fun place to visit for children and adults. Not only can you ride the carousel for a token amount ($2) but there are frequent tours of the carving and painting rooms. Gift shop and snack bar on premises.
Awesome and so fun! Went here with my family including in-laws and my daughter. $2 a ride seems pretty reasonable. Love the carefully crafted animals and how much love and attention has gone into creating a true blast from the past. Would recommend for any and all ages.
